*Extra Practice Session* :

Level 1 (Grade 1-3): This year, we are introducing additional in-person classes designed to enrich children’s understanding of yoga through hands-on practice.

This year, we are introducing additional in-person classes aimed at enhancing children’s knowledge of yoga through practical application.

Level  1-3 (Grade 1-12): To help promote a consistent yoga practice for your child , we provide each child with a weekly yoga practice sheet, as well as an audio recording of the sequence for most weeks. Additionally, registered participants are invited to attend a free 20-minute practice session online via Zoom every Tuesday and Friday from 5:30 to 5:50 pm, led by our volunteer student practitioner. These resources can help your child establish a regular yoga routine, which can have significant benefits for their overall well-being

Recommendations

Dress Code: Kindly wear loose and comfortable clothing, preferably white UPFNA uniforms. Avoid wearing shorts, sleeveless tops, capris, jeans, and tights. Also, avoid clothing with zippers or large buttons.

For Girls: Please ensure that your hair is neatly combed and tied back in a knot. Avoid using large hairpins, clips, and bangles.

Food: It is recommended to avoid heavy meals before class. Light snacks, such as a glass of milk or a small snack, are acceptable. Please allow at least two hours after a regular meal before attending class.

What to Bring: Please remember to bring a yoga mat, UPFNA homework book, and water bottle with you to class.

Health and Safety: If your child is unwell and exhibiting symptoms such as a cold, cough, fever, sneezing, or vomiting, we kindly request that you keep them at home until they have fully recovered.

Important: Students are required to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early for class and should be picked up within 5 to 10 minutes after class.

Uniforms and Yoga Mats: You can purchase UPFNA logo shirts and pants at upfna.org/products. Yoga mats are also available for purchase at the classes and can be picked up during the yoga class in Omaha.

 

Yoga class policies

Class cancellation: If UPFNA cancels the class the makeup class will be determined by the student instructor.

Makeup class: UPFNA does not guarantee a makeup class unless you miss the class due to illness or unavoidable circumstances. Maximum of 5 make up classes per semester are allowed.

Change assigned day/time: We cannot change the assigned day/time of the yoga class during the middle of the session (Aug–May).

Refund: Quitting/Leaving: Please give at-least 4 weeks advance notice before quitting the class to receive the full refund for the remaining classes. If not, the refund will be for the remaining classes less one month from the date of notification.

Absent: If the student is absent for 4 classes without any notice, the student will be dis-enrolled and lose the spot in the class. If you wish to rejoin, you must re-register and a spot may not be immediately available as there is usually a waiting list for most of the classes. Notify your absence by sending an email to kidsyoga@35.209.160.53 with the name of the student, usual class time and date(s) of absence

Online Class: Please look for online class notifications for any bad weather or teachers unavailability.
