Lemon Rice


2 cups boiled and cooled rice

2 green / red chillies

1/4 tsp. mustard seeds

1/2 tsp Urad dal ( Optional )

5 tbspoon- Peanuts (Optional )

1 tbspoon- Cashews (Optional )

1/4 tsp. turmeric powder

1 pich asafoetida ( Optional)

salt to taste

juice of half lemon

1 tbsp. oil

1/2 tbsp.cilantora finely chopped


In the pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, and urad dal ,peanuts, cashews. Allow to splutter.

Add green chillies, asafoetida,turmeric

Pour in to the rice and salt, lemon, cilantora and mix well
